Hi I was wondering if I could ask anyone's advice please?

I know that the allowance cannot be claimed if 

 Does it matter if, two non director employees are paid the same, totalling £8442.24 in the year, which is obviously less than the threshold annually, they both received a large bonus in March pushing them for March over the monthly threshold, so can the allowance be claimed? Please.

My understanding is that the allowance threshold is annual, not monthly, so as long as the March bonus puts them above the threshold, they should be fine.
