ICB news - level 4 cert now counts as an exemption from ACCA F3

ICB news: 'the Level IV Certificate in Advanced Bookkeeping and Accounts has been recognised by ACCA as a suitable qualification for exemption from their Foundation Paper F3 in Financial Accounting.' it goes on to say that ICB plan to apply for exemptions for more exams from accountancy bodies in the future.

I remember that one, used to be the old paper 1.1.

No insult intended against the ICB qualification but I would strongly advise people not to take that exemption if they decided to move up to ACCA but it is nice that the ACCA are now treating the ICB qualification as being at the same level as the IAB one as that one had exemptions and the other didn't was a bit of an anomaly I feel in the exemptions database that needed sorting out (either drop one or accept both).

My advice on not taking exemptions would also be equally applicable to those looking for exemptions baseed on the IAB or Open University qualifications (the OU giving exemptions from all entry level fundamentals papers (F1, F2 and F3).
