introduction and looking to connect with bookkeepers in/around London

Hi,

I just registered on the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I've got a relatively new firm of chartered accountants and registered auditors and am still in the process of building partnerships with other professionals. I haven't really met any bookkeepers whilst networking, but I think there could be some potential to refer work to each other. At my previous firms alot of the clients had independent bookkeepers who came onsite on a part time/freelance basis, but they wouldn't get involved in the year end accounts or tax. This is something that I can do, as well audits. On the other hand, bookkeeping at the client site is not something that I am looking to specialise in.

I'm based in London, so if there are any bookkeepers who are interested in connecting, please get in touch. I might not be able to refer work straight away, so in the meantime I can also pay commission for referrals.

I specialise in technology, property and charities, although I have experience of many different businesses and sectors.

Thanks,

Mohammed

Hi Mohammed,

welcome to the forum.

despite the name of the site there is a good cross selection of bookkeepers and accountants on here. Unlike some other sites you will find this one quite nice as bookkeepers and accountants tend to speak as equals rather than at least one other site that I can think of where bookkeepers venturing opinions is like Christians venturing into the colluseum in ancient Rome.

The number of Chartered on the site now seems to be more than the Chartered Certified. I'll have to pull my finger out to try and rebalance that one.

Good luck with your new firm and I look forwards to chatting,

kind regards,

Shaun.

p.s. many of the site members, myself included do offer yearend accounts and tax so the demarcation between bookkeepers and accountants is not quite so clear cut on here.
