Hi,

Im a bookkeeper / sole trader and I used  Sage when I first set up just for me,  I used it as it was...   Im not VAT reg so  set the default to T9 and only used the nominal codes that related to my income / expenditure.

Since gaining some valuable practical experience along the way I found Sage to be too complex for what I needed and resorted to using simple excel spreadsheets tailored to what I needed so I can complete my SA and keep track of my expenditure etc.,

Have used this system for two years now and have no problems dealing with my own accounts.

Julie
