Well done Julie, you must be so pleased with yourself. Good luck for your computerised.
I have been waiting 4 weeks for the result of my level 2 computerised. Wish they would get a move on.

Congratulations Julie
I am still waiting for my result. I hope that you do not mind me asking but what accounts package are you going to take the computerised exam on.
Regards
Mark

Thanks all :)
Mark - I have recently done the Sage Instant Accounts Certification with Kaplan and have the software so I will be using that.

Hi Julie
Thanks.
Sorry to follow with another question, but what is Sage Instant Accounts Certification, I haven't heard of it before.
Regards
Mark

Its a recognised certification from Sage, you complete an online exam and they send you a certificate within a couple of weeks. I have also done the stage 1 payroll certification too. You can get the workbooks from Sage website http://support.sage.co.uk/default.aspx?page=74 and there are practice tests online too. I used Kaplan because you get a full version of instant accounts not just the 180 day trial.

Hi Julie

The Sage Instant accounts certification and payroll you mentioned, would you mind me asking how much it cost? Is it from Sage website directly? Does it differ from the ICB computerised sage and ICB payroll?

Thanks a lot

Alison

Congratulations on your level 1 (is that the manual ICB), good luck with your ICB level 2 computerised? Did you do a course? I did not bother doing a course, just got a past paper before buying the actual exam.

If you go on to level 3 computerised, (I did not bother buying past paper for level 3 just the actual exam as assumed it would be similar to the level 2 and was surprised when got actual exam that some of the questions were manual needing written answers rather than all computerised so I was worrying until I got the results as did not prepare for manual questions.

From Kaplan it was about £400 including exam and full version of Sage Instant Accounts and from Sage its £99 but not sure if that includes exam. The Payoll cost me £145 for both stages, I have passed first one and yet to do the second.
I dont think it differs much from the ICB as when I got the past paper info I was able to put the cd info on my current Sage software. I am still doing ICB as well as I want the membership benefits.
