Offering Payroll Services

Hi,

Does anyone also offer a payroll service?  It is generally easy to set up and how much roughly do you charge?

I would be grateful for any help.

Jo

I offer a payroll service as an add on to my book-keeping service. It works well and clients seem to like everything under one roof. I only offer a monthly service as doing it weekly proved to much hassle. It also made it difficult to take a weeks/fortnights holiday. I charge £2 per employee per month/payslip.

Thanks for that. When I advertise, I advertise offering a bookkeeping & payroll service but I have had absolutely no payroll enquiries. Is there anything you can suggest that you did that particularly works?

Thanks for any advice,

Jo

Payroll software (Sage, Quickbooks and ours) all can take the sting out of doing the work. The HMRC payroll DVD is also very helpful with lits of information and most of the forms you need.
Most of our bookkeeper partners offer payroll services but it does seem to be priced as a "value" service i.e. too cheap, but that is business.
