Taxfiler

Just a sense check please.

Am HMRC agent.   But not listed as agent for a client (running out of time....their fault!) - I can submit returns to HMRC without being listed as their agent via taxfiler.

Just checking I have it right.

TIA

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

I don't use taxfiler but I assume the same rules apply to all software.
I filed a similar return today using Taxcalc .

Thought that was right. But you know what happens when you start to think too much?!!

Thank you for confirming. Mucho appreciated!

This will change with ITSA, however. ITSA will require that people have the correct client or ASA authority.

Hi John
I noticed you commented such on a similar thread on Aweb.

Wonder if anyone has told HMRC that a few folk file without being classed an listed as a client's agent. That could cause some carnage when the deadlines are imminent at least to start with!
