VAT invoice for EU country

Hi,

I have a limited company. The company has no VAT number.

I want to send an invoice to a company in The Netherlands. This company has a VAT number. The invoice is for a digital service. No physical product.

What to do with the VAT on my invoice?

I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance!

Hi
You need to have a chat with your Accountant who can provide advice, one with VAT knowledge. Having no vat number it is not clear if you have registered and are awaiting it, are not registered, should or should not be registered and where. Nor indeed whether the service is truly digital under the vat rules. Vat is a complex matter.

This forum cannot help you as it is for professional bookkeepers and Accountants only and we do not provide free advice to businesses.

Edited to correct typo

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position
