Business Coaching

Happy Sunday All. I'm a big fan of reading business and motivational books (E-Myth, Traction, etc) and a recurring theme I keep reading is that a lot of successful business owners use a business coach. I can see the benefits, goal setting, use as a sounding board, but from some online quotes the costs seem very high too - way outside of what I can afford.

Any bookkeepers use a business coach for their business? If so has it helped?

Hi Ali, not used a business coach but when I started my business I had a few sessions with the business incubator run by our local authority. Was really useful.

Thanks Sophie. I can see the benefits just need to build the bank balance up first!

Hi Ali
Welcome to the forum.

I do a lot of business mentoring, as well as mentoring AAT students and although I dont come cheap!

I would normally say that you could do worse than rely on this site to act as an informal mentor, certainly you could in the past, but its all still a bit quiet since it was re-launched as not enough folk can find it. Still some way for the owners to go on the SEO/SEM bit, although good to see a couple of newbies are on since Ive been away and even the spammers are now finding us again.

I notice you mentioned on another page that you are AAT? Is that fully qualified? Licence with them or someone else? MLR with? How long qualified? What services do you offer? All helps when pitching answers.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.
