Still showing 'Not Secure'

Does anyone know if this has been reported and if it is being dealt with?

I've emailed Shaun to let him know but it's something Steve (the forum owner) will need to sort out.

It's the certificate rather than the http issue in my opinion.  I've just checked my old website and that says not secure at the side of the domain name but doesn't prevent you from viewing the site.  I think I'm going to have to make the new site https though when I eventually get round to building it.

Hi both,

I've just sent Steve an Email. s soon as I hear anything I'll post here.

my appologies for any inconvenience. As noted by John though it's not something that I am able to fix. Steve will need to contact his web minions who generally get these things sorted pretty quickly.

kindest regards,

Shaun

John: It is the certificate - as I pointed out in the other thread; the certificate that's being served is for activeboard.com (the hosting company/forum providers), rather than bookkeepers.network. So when the server says "Here's my certificate" the browser recognises that it isn't and tells the user there's a potential security issue.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for the messages and posts about the issue. I spoke to the forums software developers yesterday and I’m advised they’ve looked into it and all should be working correctly now.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I have also spoken to the software developers about SSL certificates for the site. Unfortunately at present there's no SSL support for Custom Domains (www.bookkeepers.network) hosted with ActiveBoard, however it's on their road-map for the near future.

They have now added SSL certificates to all their activeboard.com domains, their next milestone after that will be enabling SSL support for Custom Domains as well.

It is possible to access the forum (with an SSL cert) via our activeboard.com domain at https://bookkeepers.activeboard.com.

If anyone has any further issues with the site or any questions please drop me a line and I’ll investigate further.

Kind regards,

Steve

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

Thanks Steve

I was brave Joanne, and continued to access the site.

He, he I see Vince has changed his avatar, now that's way cuter than mine, I love the cheeky grin.

I spotted the shift to using pictures of our younger selves last week and dug that photo out - but I only remembered to crop/resize/upload it today.

I was rather dashing in my younger days, wasn't I?

What the hell went wrong? :(
