Hello,

I was wondering if there was a service you could pay to get more quality regular clients, would you? Or does anyone know of one.

I was asked this week and I couldn't decide, how much is the right amount? Or is any amount too much?

I currently get my own clients, but I guess sometimes it might be nice to not have to "work" to get new ones?!

Hello Sara,

common expansion planning to to grow organically until ready and then grow by acquisition.

As a general rule if you are one of those looking to grow by undercutting competitors you will end up as one of those being acquired rtather than doing the acquiring.

If you offered to pay a client to do their books they would still try and get more money out of you so don't let their demands influence your prices.

Similar with competition. There is always some unqualified or underqualified happy to undercut the rates changed by quality bookkeepers... In general we make all the money back plus some when the client eventually needs fixing.

Good luck with growing your business. Can you tell us a little about yourself and put your first name in your signiture (just makes it easier to chat).

Hi Vince, that sort of spam is usually followed up a few hours later, so possible still but unlikely I reckon. However I do agree it has the hallmarks of a spam post.

With the question that was asked, I immediately thought of Bark, a website that offers referrals in exchange for readies, hence my woof woof? comment to Joanne.

I didn't spot when I posted that the original question was last week. However, I still think it was a spam leader.

Because it probably was. :p

Spammers have many tricks up their sleeves - including letting a leader stew for a while. (It's rare, but I have seen it). What's probably happened here, though, is that the possible spam source has been splatted as a result of other, more prevalent forms coming from the same source - so the amazing follow-up never happened.

I could be completely wrong, of course...

We have had some spammers who do the initial post, usually as you've seen a half hearted attempt to help or a dumb random question, then lie dormant for quite a while and then sneak a link into their signature. I think our Mr Mod has a black book and keeps covert ops (maybe not so covert now!).

This one I'm in two minds about, given she checked back in after the initial post. Either way, it ain't going far for future Interactions is it!
