Hi Folks

40% off books available via Kaplan

Kaplan have a discount code that was mentioned on here back in 2016 and whilst it shows as expired on most of the discount code websites, it does actually work (Ive just used it).

Choose your books via Kaplan books - this link for ACCA http://kaplan-publishing.kaplan.co.uk/acca-books/pages/acca-books.aspx?gclid=Cj0KCQjwof3cBRD9ARIsAP8x70PuoZ5Y8AA6tShBA_NYCiKVbYzqR55yYz_9M3W54ZixXTdWVe69HzMaAuz_EALw_wcB

Then add your code HSBd1Sc-s

Hi Joanne

I meant to ask when you originally posted this but your mention of Tolley in another post reminded me

What have you decided to study or are you just doing a refresher? If you don't mind me asking

Hi Doug
I missed this one - sorry.

Just a refresher. Glutton for punishment.

whn do you start the CTA?

Wish I had time for more. If I give up my clients I might just do some for fun!

 Hi Joanne

Started CTA already, in fact that's what I am doing now.

I intended to have a break and start in the new year but to be honest I missed the studying so sitting the Owner Managed Business advisory paper in November but now cant help thinking that I may have rushed into it too soon but there is no going back now as exam is booked and paid for!

Gosh, how do you find the time?

It's addictive though isn't it!!

Better get cracking, it's not that long until November, no idea where 2018 has gone!

 Hi Joanne,

Only 5 weeks and a few days to go, seems like a silly choice now but at least a lot of the content was covered by ATT which is a help.

Time,  I have had to cut back on going to the pub which is the greatest sacrifice of all (and it is killing me) but at least I would have saved some money towards the resit biggrin

What was you refreshing? You didn't say

Perhaps have a beer once you have finished your study for the evening. Or better still at the start - the questions always look do-able then.

Im just messing about with production costings and budgeting. No Im not going to the management accounting side. Just keeping my hand in and a good one for if I end up back in Corporate when I start ripping them apart again. Something to do at 4.30am when I couldnt sleep! Not taking an exam or anything.

Who are you studying with? Have to say I dont know anything about CTA really.

I am doing the same as I did with ATT, just buying the study materials direct from Tolley and then booking the exam, problem being they only have 2 exam sittings per year in May and November, ideally I would have liked a bit longer to study and to take the exam early in the New Year but those are the dates so just gotta get on with it.
