Recommendations please - CT600 Filing software

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on CT600 filing software. I am using Andica CT600 at the moment but I'm having difficulty with the actual filing as I keep getting an error message with regards to the attachments. The html company accounts and computations were produced using VT Transactions. I have contacted Andica and VT and they are not very helpful to be honest!

I'm looking for a cloud based program so i can work remotely. Has anyone used Taxfiler?

Thanks in advance

Corry

Hi Corry I would recommend Taxfiler. Been using it for just over a year now. Value for money and easy to use. Mike

 Hi Corry

When you say VT transaction don't you mean VT accounts?  What sort of error message are you getting on Andica?  How have you got the figures in VT accounts, trial balance or direct import from VT transaction+?

Thanks Mike.

Hi John, Yes, I do mean VT Final Accounts. I get the following errors from Andica:

Error Number: 4080
Error Location: /hd:GovTalkMessage[1]/hd:Body[1]/ct:IRenvelope[1]/ct:CompanyTaxReturn[1]/ct:AttachedFiles[1]/ct:Attachment[1]/@Format
Error Type: schema
Error Text: Value 'html' is not one of the allowed enumerated values

Error Number: 4000
Error Location: /hd:GovTalkMessage[1]/hd:Body[1]/ct:IRenvelope[1]/ct:CompanyTaxReturn[1]/ct:AttachedFiles[1]/ct:Attachment[1]/@Format
Error Type: schema
Error Text: Invalid attribute value - 'html'

Which are both HMRC validation errors. I am trying to get through to HMRC and see if they can help!

I entered the the figures in to VT FA via the Trail Balance.

Thanks
Corry

Hi Corry, it wasn't what I thought it might be.  I've had a google on the error codes but to no avail.

I use taxfiler myself but so far using the Taxfiler accounts to create the ixbrl files.  My next submission will be using VT accounts and submitting via Taxfiler, providing I can clear up a teeny weeny anomoly first

Hi Corry,
I too use Taxfiler for all my tax returns. I also use VT Ccounts Nd just attach the file to the Taxfiler submission. Been using it over 2 years. Now without any problems. Extremely easy to use and great value for money. Would definitely 're commend.
I've also used Andica. Taxfiler is so look much easier.

Goodness knows what happened to the spellings and grammar in my above post. It didn't look like that when I was typing - honestly. Am using my tablet, maybe that's why ????

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

Hi Corry

I was looking at subscribing to Taxfiler as well, mainly due to the price and the what other people have had to say about it,  if you go onto their website you can login to a free demo which will allow you to access all the different functions they provide.

Hi Corry, I experience the same problem with Andica and VT Transactions. How did you sort the issue? Please advise. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

To be honest this is from so long ago I have no idea now. I switched to TaxFiler whichI find very easy to use although the price has gone up considerably over the last few years, but if you have enough clients it is well worth it.

Sorry I was unable to help
Corry
