Hi Folks

My son has a full set of AAT level 3 (AQA2013) textbooks, with guided questions/answers and two mocks/answers.  All unused apart from ITAX.    If anyone is interested in buying them please PM me and we can discuss £ and how to get them to you.

Just in case anyone is wondering - all of these books remain current until December 2017, except the Indirect Tax booklet (the only difference for exams taken after Dec 2016 for this module ALONE,  that would be required in such circumstances will be an adjustment to the VAT registration and de-registration threshold amounts  commented on within the book, to the Finance Act 2016 figures. Nothing else will change in the books!)

Also - if anyone then wants to complete their AAT they can either finish level 4 prior to Dec 2017, or move across to finish it on the new AQA2016 syllabus as credits for the exams completed at level 3 will not be lost.

Hope that helps.

Hi Dave
The books have gone but would have been no good for you anyway Im afraid. Beware of what you are buying, other than through approved colleges/DL companies.

AQA2013 has to be completed by the end of December 2016! Yep, in a few months so thats one reason they are out of date. You will be learning now on AQA2016. This one should be around for a few years.

The other thing to beware of is picking up books from older Finance Acts (FA) for your tax modules (Personal and Business tax especially, Indirect tax slightly less so but with things afoot, ie Brexit etc, I wouldnt even take the chance with this one). EG FA2016 - is only for exams again up until the end of 2017. FA 2017 books will be released in January 2018 and will apply until the end of 2018.

HTH (save you some money if nothing else!)

Thanks

 Hi Dave

It might be the way I have read it but it sounds like you are planning to study the whole of Level 3 and then take the exams at the end, don't do that just study each unit and then sit the exam while it is still fresh in your head, if you start studying now there should be no problems getting at least 1 exam sat before the end of the year

Good luck
