Hi All,

Does anyone know of any good Quickbook Pro desktop course or books I can read to get the most of the new Software I have brought.

If you google "Quickbooks Training" a lot pops up, so maybe have a nosey and look at prices etc.

A lot of the time, you learn the basics, then pick up the rest as you go along!

There is a Dummies book, plus the help files within the package aren't too bad.

I'll have a look on my Kindle for Dummies book. The help within is good but only when you have specifics so.o I need a real walk through.

Amazon have a policy on returning Kindle books.. I think its 14 days... so you could download and have a scan, and return if it werent for you.

Hi Cheryl
All good thanks - having the best week ever! Hope you are well too. Good to see you went with John's idea. Apologies for the one line response before was on an even dodgier train that the one I was on this morning and it was standing room only, so I gave up on my phone.

Didnt know that about Kindle Michelle. Have to say though - you can get it from the library for free and keep it for months. It is great for specifics but does also take you through from installing the software and step by step through each part of the system.

Only other thing I could suggest is make up a pile of scenarios and have a play with it. Always back it up before you start and then if you go wrong you can restore, whilst between each entry go and have a dig and see how it impacts in various parts of the system from the control accounts, ledgers, reports, VAT etc. I think its the best way to learn and certainly the way I learnt my way round sage.

The back up process is one I advocate on here a lot - do it often and ALWAYS before you do something new on a system. Saves a great big pile of re-keying.
