Setting up a limited company for a client

Morning all,

One of my clients is a taxi driver and would like to become a limited company......as all of my clients are established companies or sole traders, how do I go about setting up a company on his behalf?! If I can?! Or is it just as simple as logging in to Companies House and registering a new company with his details?

Thanks,

Liz

Hi Liz
Not sure where you stand with any practice certs/rules/insurance on this one but there are quite a few questions on the companies house site that you need to clarify before you start eg class of shares; number of shares (you need to be able to advise for the scenario at set up but for expansion in future so you dont give wrong advice now); usual - personal details; registered address; sic code etc. I did my own and that was straight forward cos I had all the answers in my head!

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Use a formation agent - it is a very simple exercise to do.
