Trial bal problems with co accounts! Help please


Hi all

I am really struggling with a set of accounts and would really appreciate some help.

The past accounts when entered into VT balance, when I enter this years figures I cannot for the life of me get them to balance. I have reviewed evey entry and cannot see where I have made a mistake, if anyone could help please get in touch. many thnks

Start from the beginning...Are you sure the past figures you posted into VT balanced? Did you check before you posted yours?

Not exactly sure how you can get VT not to balance.

If you want to PM me (click my name and then click send email), I'll reply and then you can attach the full current .vtr file as an attachment, send it back to me and I'll take a look to see if I can see anything obvious.

Don't know whether you use VT accounts or just VT transaction+ but sometimes pushing the data through to final accounts shows up discrepancies better than attempting to see them in the trial balance.

Might take up to 24 hours to get back to you once I have the file.

Hi there
It is a case I have taken over, the last years figure balance but when I input this years figures I lose money from the p and l notes section so the profit from the earlier year is lower?
