Great opportunity for a Senior Finance Professional to join leading Housing Association in Wales.



This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Finance Professional to join one of Wales's leading Housing Associations as the Director of Finance & Central Services.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Director of Finance & Corporate Service will be an integral member of the Executive Management Team and will provide financial and corporate leadership to NPT Homes. The Director of Finance & Corporate Services will deliver an excellent finance service to NPT Homes and maintain governance and regulatory services ensuring excellent performance monitoring and reporting systems are in place within a dynamic business environment.

The key requirements of the role are:

Shape and communicate the financial budgetary strategy for NPT Homes, optimising the financial capacity and resilience of the company for the future as well as ensuring medium and long-term plans are delivered effectively.
The Director of Finance & Corporate Services will hold full responsibility for the P&L of the organisation as well as the creation of Financial and Management Accounts.
Lead, motivate and develop the Finance & Corporate Services team to provide the highest quality customer service and to deliver the highest standards of financial management.
To ensure the Finance & Corporate Services team provides accurate and timely management information and advice to internal stakeholders.
Produce the Financial Statements for the company and manage year end audits ensuring all relevant regulatory returns are submitted on time.
Act as Company Secretary and provide a company secretariat service to NPT Homes.
Manage the provision of Procurement, Communications and Corporate Governance.

 Who we're looking for

The ideal candidate will be a CCAB qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
Extensive experience in a Senior Finance role, managing and developing a team in a large Finance function.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Social Housing, Industry or a Commercially focused 3rd Sector organisation.
You will have proven financial management, budget setting and long term financial planning experience.
You will have extensive stakeholder management experience as well as strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience of negotiating finance loans with Banks, developing pension schemes and working with complex Vat arrangements.
You will have significant experience of leading change within in a dynamic business environment.
You will have strong people management skills as well as strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
The ideal candidate will have proven customer service experience.
Ideally you will have wider experience managing and developing Corporate Governance, Procurement, Communications and Internal Audit Functions.
 

What's on offer

Basic Salary of £85,000
Local Authority Final Salary Pension Scheme.
31days holiday plus another discretionary holidays at Christmas.
