This is a highly visible, Financial Controller role within the Strategic Projects division of Crest Nicholson. The role gives exposure to the board and requires liaison with Project Directors, all other Crest business units and external stakeholders. Specific responsibilities include:
Maintain financial models for all projects. This includes liaison with Project Managers to ensure the board is appraised on current and future profit projections, potential land sales and cash forecasts
Advise Project Executives of the financial implications of proposed deals and other commercial decision support
Preparation and presentation of monthly trading accounts and forecast along with half and full year statutory reporting packs
Attending project review, sales price review and other meetings to ensure financial matters are considered correctly
Ad hoc analysis and modelling to measure performance to aid decision making around plans, forecasts and contract negotiations
Full accountability for all month end accounting procedures

Who we're looking for
To be considered you will be a qualified accountant with some exposure to the Building & Construction sector.The sector experience can have been gained from working within the sector or by working with relevant clients within an accountancy practice firm. Those making the first move from practice are encouraged to apply.
You will have advanced Excel skills, the ability to build relationships and influence non-finance colleagues and be comfortable interacting at all levels.
