Vacancy for a part-time self-employed bookkeeper SW1

We are looking for a part-time self-employed individual to work within a small art gallery with two other employees in Picadilly. The company turnover is 1-2m per year. We need someone who is thoroughly competent with Sage Line 50 and can manage corporate accounts, client accounts, multi currency accounts, make payments, VAT returns need to be filed and reclaimed etc. Our auditors provide the payroll service and accounts and they will work on line and in office.
The candidate must have top references and is required for 8-12 hours a week in the office. We are looking for an individual who will intend to stay with the company, our current bookkeeper has been with us for 26 years. Salary by arrangement.

Hi Matt,

I am an experienced freelance book-keeper based in West London, could the 8-12 hours be split over 2 days or could the work be done offsite?

Thanks

Philip

hello

The hours can be split over two or even three days as at present. Our book keeper is very ill and will have to retire before too long. This cannot be done on line. It will take some time to be acquainted with the extensive papaer records and get the hang of and reorganise while entering on sage Line 50.  Can you send some references etc. i have a meeting with out auditors here Monday at 12.

Hello,

I had a call from a contemporary art gallery in Euston. They wanted a self-employed bookkeeper for 2days a week.

I was not interested as it was too far for me. The number for them is 0207 436 4899.

It was a week ago, so maybe they have already hired someone, but why not to ask.
