Change from Ltd co to LLP

Is it possible to  change a Ltd company's status to LLP?

If yes, how would this be done?

What are the implications on the directors? shareholders? and accounting treatment of the accounts?

Why do you want to change from Ltd Co to LLP?

This is a question I have been asked whether it is possible - if yes, what are the implications

I am unable to answer the above as I do not have extensive knowledge on company formation

No, you can't change a limited company to an LLP as they are entirely different entities. However, there are various other options you could take, such as transferring the company's assets to a new LLP, or inserting a new LLP as the owner of the company which could achieve a similar effect.

Clearly whether these would work would depend on why you are trying to achieve this.

If you'd like to discuss, please feel free to send me a DM.

Thanks

Nick
