Hello from another newbie

Hi everyone,

For many years I have done the accounts for a small business run by me and my husband. It used to be very small indeed, but recently it has taken more of a front seat. So I have to get more serious on proper procedure! I am self taught on double-entry bookkeeping and use an old version of Sage. Sometimes I find it very hard work to do the books, but sometimes I get very into it and really enjoy making it all add up.

Hi i'm a newbie too. I have been doing my husband books for the last couple of years however i just use the collins book, so no real insight on proper book keeping, so i have now decided to train up, with Kaplan ICB course.

Hi Barbara,

welcome to the forum.

Glad that you enjoy it when you get into it. Been doing this for years and it still gives me a real buzz (and minor sense of amazement) when after all that data input a balance sheet does actually balance!

Hope to talk soon,

Shaun.
