New Book-keepers.info Website

Hi All

Following yesterdays connectivity issues where the forum was unavailable for most of the day, we have set up a new website designed to communicate to members the latest system status of The Book-keepers Forum website.

For those interested, the system status website can be found at www.book-keepers.info.

This website is hosted on a different server to that of The Book-keepers Forum, and we will update the site with any planned maintenance or current system issues. If the forum is offline for any reason we will update www.book-keepers.info in order to keep members informed of the current status and anticipated down time.

We hope this new site will be of benefit.

Best regards,

The Book-keepers Forum Team

Many thanks.

I've just bookmarked it as of course the only time that I'm going to need it is when the pointer to it isn't there!

Thanks for a great site.

Shaun.

Isn't it odd how this thread has re-surfaced one year later? I think some people will be thinking "no, not really - just following a pattern".

But the question I'm still torn with is do I don my executioners cap or do I let Adam keep digging up old threads?

As Bill says, and as mentioned previously by myself. This could just be a language issue with Adam rather than Spam prep?.... But des the site need advice from someone who has such difficulty with the language and no knowledge of bookkeeping?

I've already justified my proposal and been given approval by site admin to do the deed.

Just don't want to start getting a bit too heavy handed with newbies.... Then again, in one of the other posts he did just refer to Steve as Dear so I might have the executioners burden lifted from me on this one!!!

Hi everyone, can anyone throw some light on a problem I am experiencing. I have recently taken and (hopefully) passed my IAB level 3 Advanced book keeping and accounts course with a local Adult college in my town. My intention, including those of my colleagues also on the course, was to take the AAT 4 course. For this we were advised that the course tutors would be setting a test prior to the course to ensure everyone would be of the same standard. This was not a problem as it would be similar to the exam just taken, with the exception of knowing 'costings and reports'. Again this wouldn't have been an issue as most of us purchased a tutorial book to cover this subject recommended by the IAB tutor. However, the college will not even consider us for the course, let alone allow us to take the initial test. Can anyone offer any advice or point me in the direction of taking AAT4 via distance learning? I have taken on board that a project is part of the syllabus. I am familiar with distance learning, have used this route to qualify for both FPC and CeMAP.
