trips to the bank to bank business cheques allowable expense?


Hi All, my qu is as the title reads really, just wanted to double check as I believe it would be allowable on the tax return.......look to your answers as always!

as a self employed person, all the motoring/travel expenses would be entered and a % disallowed for personal use on the SA, regardless of what they were actually for.

Unless, of course, the business mileage option was used, in which case only business miles would be counted, and no other business expenses would be accounted for.

ok, that was what I thought, wanted to double check, as didn't want to put things through then later realise that they shouldn't have been put through.

This was for my business accounts, and I am trying to plan what tax is payable at the end of the tax yr, and reduce profit where I can legally do so, I wouldn't want a shock!
