Who should I address marketing letters to?

I'm going to be sending out some marketing letters to businesses in my local area. I'm not sure who I should address the letters to? Should I simply address it to 'Business Owner', or should I just put the businesses name?

Money is tight so I want to make sure that my letters have the best chance of being read.

Thank you.

Den

Hi Den

I would try and find out the owners name before sending them a letter. I have found this increases the response rate. You can normally find this out on the net now a days.

It's much better if you can address it to the owner. If the business is a limited company you can get the directors name from the companies house website. I think it costs £1 per report so is well worth doing.
