Cheeky expenses claim

Hi Guys

Thought I'd share this one with you. Just completing a set of accounts and have found a range of expenses claims for a local lap dancing bar. Don't think HMRC would find it as funny as I did. Think its taking client entertainment to the limit, but made me giggle.

Debbie

Wouldve liked to have been a fly on the wall as you had that conversation with your client. Mine are just boring but sometimes eye watering restaurant bills - £1500 is quite the norm at least twice a year. Although worse than that, my brother did have an expenses claim for a restaurant bill once for $5000 when he was working out the US - he framed it!!!!!

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

You should check out answers with reference to the legal position

Still got to have that conversation lol. I had another recently who thought he could claim the expenses of furnishing his flat he was living in while working away from home. Got bill's for a new bed, sofa, kitchen utensils etc.

I knew portions were big in America, but $5000 !!!

Unfortunately not a politician. That would have explained things a little if he was.
