HMRC issues

Great last Friday of the month and HMRC are having issues with filing CIs verifications and FPS.  Nothing on their website about service issues.

Just what you need

Moneysoft reports:-

24-Jun-2016

The HMRC are having technical difficulties at the moment, so you may experience a delay in getting a response to your submission.

No idea why we can get this from a small software provider yet nothing on HMRC website!!!!!!! Useless bunch.

Thoughts are my own/not to be regarded as official advice, which should be sought from a suitably qualified Accountant.

I have confirmation in my email but not Moneysoft. The FPS I just sent has gone through but the CIS verification is stuck.

Its going to be fun when we renegotiate with Europe and all the Vat rules change! HMRC will never cope with all that change on top of MTD

My first thoughts from Accounting perspective were about VAT Moss, the VAT reverse charges and WHT. Then that was overtaken by a pile of other thoughts and trying to keep up with work whilst watching the news. Interesting times ahead.

Good afternoon.

Taxcalc is still showing the HMRC delay warning.

However I chanced a submission and it went though as normal.

My FPS had toe b resubmitted today I checked with HMRC that they hadn't been received - reluctant to admit that there had been issues!

A client of mine phoned HMRC on Saturday morning as her FPS hadn't gone through. It came up with an error message saying timed out. She uses HMRC basic PAYE tools. They admitted to her the system was down and that it should have been sorted by Monday.

I haven't checked with her to see if it has now gone through.

so after all that I now have a duplicate filing confirmation for my client. Looks like I will be calling HMRC in the morning. Did what I was told by HMRC resubmit and followed Moneysoft instructions on what to do.
