Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely afternoon!  My name is Caroline and I'm in N. Ireland.  I've been working as a bookkeeper for a good few years now.  I studied a few night classes and learned quite a lot working on the job.  I'm currently studying a home study course through the Bookkeepers Association.  Although I've taken a break due to having a baby a year ago.

Thank you in advance for any help given"

:)

Hi Caroline
Another welcome to the madhouse - hope you enjoy the site as much as the rest of us. Ive not come across the Bookkeepers Association, although perhaps a few of our other NI friends will have, but good luck with the course. Construction is an 'interesting' one to to look after - are you working for just this one company at the moment, or do you also have other clients? Interesting times with a one year old - they are just getting interesting and into more at that age - boy or girl?

smileMorning Joanne

I've been meaning to join the forum for some time but got side-tracked when I fell back into work after having my little girl.  hen I was away the company had grown and its been catch up ever since!!  I have a few other clients who are far more straight forward thank goodness but this one is growing so fast that its hard to keep on top of!

Hope you're well and thank you for the welcome!!

smile

Caroline

Hi Caroline
Sounds like you will have an 'interesting' time ahead of you with that one. I hope they have an approachable Accountant you can speak to if you get stuck. As well as posting on here of course!

Hi Caroline and welcome aboard!

Such obvious attempts at spamming the site just won't work. Sum total of your posts is this and one word on another 'why?' .....plus you choose to say welcome to someone on a post from June but not the more recent ones. It's sooooo obvious what you are trying to do.

Where was the spam?  Or has Shaun been weaving his magic again biggrin

Update:  Just spotted it.  Very very subtle, if not very sneaky

I have to admit, I very nearly welcomed Caroline to the forum just now, I didn't realised it was from June lol.  (In my defence I was on holiday at the time and must have skipped  it when catching up.  Belated welcome anyway Caroline.

Hi John,

darn in, cleared the spam from the profile, banned the poster (they were warned last time they posted) but I missed that exclamation mark!

Oops. These spammers are getting better.... But even if they get past me they don't get past our eagle eye'd Joanne!

Joanne,

No pressure on you there but I now expect you to find every one that I miss, lol. The sneakiest one's are those that post, disappear and then sneak back on a few months later to add their spam to their signatures as that doesn't put them back up to the top in the recent posts. Luckily I'm forever referring to old posts and find them then. Those one's get straight bans with no messing around with warnings.

Caroline

as said by John above, really sorry that I missed welcoming you in June. Was a particularly hectic month for some unknown reason.

A belated welcome to the forum.

kindest regards,

Shaun.

That was me without my glasses on - perhaps the fuzzyness helps!

No pressure then guys - I am going to add spam spotter to my CV.

Like the way you check old posts for spam Shaun - I look at them for the miserable 'I cant be ar*ed saying thank you' ones!!!!!!!!!! Just bought a new black book specially to add their profile names. Once I added the link to the thank you campaign to their last messages - too subtle?

No hidden messages in my !!!!!!!!!!!!! by the way. Or is there??????????

Shaun - you need to get rid of that one now from my 'quote' from the post - did you forget that one?

I thought the name dlink was a bit of a giveaway too like da-link (the link) in dodgy teenage speak. Ok I wont try to get down with the kids again, I do it so badly!

Hi Joanne

I thought I was going mad there for a moment.  I read Caroline's recent post first then this one, again not realising it was an old thread.  On the 2nd post you mention construction and I'm thinking what construction?

I'm even checking Caroline's post in case she's altered it, but no.  It was only when I got further down the thread that I realised Shaun had been at it with his magic scissors lol.
