Letterheads and invoices

Bit of advice needed please.

I have obtained a quote from a local printer for Logo design, Business cards, Compliment slips and leaflets, which i think is a resonably price. Now i need to sort letterheads and invoice template.

Do other Bookkeepers source their letterheads from the same company who print their business cards ect or do you design your own? If you create your own letterhead, are you able to ask your printer for the logo they use on your other stationary.

Also do you invoice clients on accounting software or generate a template on word/excel.

Thank you

Get the same person to do all your stationery eg letterheads, business cards, flyers, etc so the design is consistent and dont scrimp on this.  Get as good quality as you can afford as if you get something cheap and cheerful what does that say about your business.

How you invoice is up to you.  Personally I started out using an excel template and put my logo etc on that and dont have the need or inclination to change, now up to invoice 380s off the top of my head.

I keep my own accounts on SAGE but not a fan of their invoice templates but if ever switched to something like xero then would probably invoice via the software.

I've designed all my stationary then sent it off for printing. As Mark says use the same designer or printer for all. For invoices I use sliq it's an excellent piece of software and costs less than £40

I've had my logo designed by someone else then made sure I received all of the artwork separately in its differing formats, as that means I can then either change it myself or at least pass it on to anyone else who might need it eg printer/web designer or my brother to change the name on it when I failed dismally!!

I do all my own invoices via Cl embedded into word and email them.

Sorry to be ignorant, but I'm curious as to what that means.

Sorry I didn't get a notification of a further response to this one So I've just seen your query.  I don't know what CI is myself, lol, sorry it was fingers flying too fast responding on iPad (with its predictive text!!) It's meant to read xl embedded into word.

If you have a recent (ish)version of microsoft office you an get invoices through the 'templates' part of the program.
