Tax Return

Hi everyone,

Not sure what to charge someone who's first year of self assessment is from February 2012. As it will only be 2 months I have no idea what to charge...it's only a basic one with no property or dividends paid. Any ideas?

Best wishes

Georgie

you need to post a picture on here of yourself so we can see if you look like Bill Murray, or maybe its Al Murray?

this thread is really off piste now!

Maybe his marriage might well last? How old his he?  I doubt if you would persude him other wise, after all we never listened to our parents when we were young.

Very good Shaun. Perhaps I should say dog or you to the hubby! (only joking)!

He actually loves the cat but a dog is a big commitment and he doesn't want the commitment at the moment.

I know how he feels.

Must remember, a wife is for life, not just for Christmas... Oops, that was supposed to be dog wasn't it... Nope, works either way in my case!

You never had them beheaded, did you Shaun?

Oh wait, before you answer that, the official bit. You're not obliged to say anything, but anything you do say may be written down and used in evidence.... continue...

lol,

there's just been the three of them and no beheadings (nobody told me that was an option!... You would think that living so close to 28 square miles of forest that would have occurred to me! Doh.).

After the first one cost me a fortune the others got a slice of a diminishing pool so not as expensive as it seems.... Plus I do all my own divorces now and that saves loads.

Wife #2 was definitely the best one but that fell victim of some quite tragic circumstances.... Still best friends with her and she's my +1 at my eldest boys wedding next year (eldest boy is by Wife #1. Should make for an interesting reception!).

Yes.

I've already told him to make the most of it as it's something that you only get to do a few times in your life. lol.

Actually, I've told him to pack his bags and run (I've told him several places in the world where she would never find him... Although the fear of sending him off to SE Asia is that he runs away from one wife but comes back with another).

He spent years crewing tall ships around the Caribbean in the summers and his winters as a Ski instructor in the Alps... Why the hell he has given that life up yet for a semi in Kent and a job as a bank manager eludes me. Only thing that I can think of its that his girlfriends drugged him.

They've spent £14k on this wedding so far and to me that's a complete waste of money. Best one that I had was on the beach in Saint Lucia. (wife #2) which he could get for a fraction of the uncommited funds that he's still to pay out and not have to worry about pandering to relatives (and the expensive demands of the (ex) wife to be).

Anyway, he's visiting this weekend without her so we've got a couple of days of playing Bad Company to convince him that walking away from the £14k already spent will be the best investment he ever makes.

Ah, but your assuming that I was the one to blame! (actually, with #2 I was so I regard #3 as Karma).

On the chopping stuff off, there's actually a hospital in Bangkok that specialises purely in sewing them back on again. Really, not joking.

Its a very good reason not to go to sleep without resolving an arguement.

To quote Lenny Henry. "When your girlfreind tells you that they were wrong and just to go to sleep, just grab what you can on the way out the door and run as fast as you can".

Just had to look up who Al Bundy is... First pic I saw I thought that it was Bob Harper.

My youngest actually reccons that I'm Bill Murray both in looks and dry wit.... All I need to do though is point to my bank balance to prove that I'm not!

However, for my life story I would go with Bill Murray to play the lead.

Ex wives....

#1 Princess Fiona
#2 Whoopi Goldberg
#3 Kim Hyuna

Wished that I had listened to mine when they told me not to marry the first one.

He's almost 28 which is at least older than I was when I got married the first time... Actually, that's not too far off the age I was when I hit my first divorce!

You got married too young Shaun, and then decided to go off and see the world. You are meant to do it the other way round and live life first! Saying that I didn't do that so can't really talk. I have told my kids to live life first and travel and don't settle down until they are well into their 30's.

Pretty sure it was bookkeeping or accountancy stuff but it's the wrong time of year and wrong people in the thread to be asking stuff like that.

This thread has just prompted me to send the ex a Christmas pressie. :)

Does it involve something nasty in a shoe-box?

That would be wife #3 and the shoe box would probably be ticking

How many are there altogether Shaun?

She would probably thought you'd bought her an expensive pair of shoes! She may think her luck was in again!

Christmas is cheaper if you are single.
