Income tax added?
 

hi all

 

I don't have any training for payroll but I see the wage slips on our system. I see for two individuals income tax is being added, not deducted, from their gross salary!

Gross salary: 300

Income tax: 30

Net: 330.

Would there ever be a reason for that to happen !?

Yes, where there is a tax refund because the individual paid too much tax previously.

This can happen because the person's tax code changes.

Or a new starter who has a gap between employments.
