Don't know if this is OK, but I've started a blog to document my progress in setting up, while in employment.

I've only done two posts so far, and I hope to update it weekly, but obviously there are more important things biggrin.

don't foget that the CF10 is only if you adopt the self employed rather than limited company businesss model for your new venture. Just thought that I would throw that in but sure that you've gone sole trader anyway so the advice is supurfluous.

Nice blog Ed! How was Disney Land Paris? We've been to the Florida version but are thinking of taking the kids to Paris this year. Was it any good?

Hi Stuart,

Disneyland was really good, the kids loved it, 12 hours in the park and there was barely any moaning. We stayed in a Disney hotel, so you get to enter the park at 8am, instead of 10am like the general public.

Food is expensive there, so watch out, and also the queues for food can be very long. They do free fastrack tickets for the popular rides, where you get a ticket and go back between set times and miss the queues, well worth doing.

We took the train from Devon, and there were some problems with the transport, the TGV was terribly slow, but I found out that was due to problems with the power lines, so we were switched to a slow track.

I'd highly recommend it, but don't know if you'd be disappointed having been to the Florida one, which I understand is a lot better.

A day is fine for the Magic Kingdom, but if you want to do Disney Studios properly it's probably worth having two days. And look out for the parade at 5pm, it was the highlight of the day for our two.

Cheers Ed. We'd love to go back to Florida, but with the children still very young we're just not sure they'd manage a 10 hour flight. Also with prices approaching £4K for a 2 week break that doesn't help!

That's going to be our next big holiday, we're planning on going with the inlaws, 15 in total, and my estimates for our 4 are over £5k for a fortnight. Needless to say, it won't be until at least 2014.

We found the travelling a lot easier going, on the train to paris, we left Exeter at 6.30am and arrived at our hotel at 7.30pm, so a long old day, but the kids were excellent, and with a couple of magazines each, plus my iphone and some imaginative games it passed without too much incident.

Cool I'm of to disneyland paris next week, good to see a positive review for a change, although all my daughter wants to see is Minnie, I was getting worried about the reviews I've read.

Check the daily schedule when your there, the characters you can meet change each day and the queues are quite long. We didn't meet Minnie, just Micky and Winnie the Pooh. There was Tigger and the donky and also Buzz over at Disney Studios, but we didn't realise until we'd left the park because we didn't pay attention to the daily specials event programme.

And seriously, don't miss the Parade at 5pm, it's brilliant even for me.

 Thanks, this is the sort of info you want really, i'll be getting there early doors on the first day so i'll have time to look at all that. I keep hearing that the parade is spectacular so i'll probably be there every evening.
