As many on here can testify, if the dream job isn't forthcoming, then perhaps you would consider turning to self-employment. I know that brings its own complications such as a supervisory body, insurance etc but nothing insurmountable. I can only think that a potential employer would put you to the top of the pile, if you'd shown the initiative to set up your own practice.

Can't offer you a job, I'm afraid, having taken on my dearest, but am glad your eagerness has borne fruit in gaining that elusive experience. That, on top of your examinations, obvious zeal, and perhaps your own business venture, would only make your CV all the more enviable.

Check-out the software recommendations on here. Are you getting experience in payroll? I ask this because, although many consider it a ancilliary service, it can be a good introduction to clients, especially if you market it to accountants. Having dipped your toe in the water, you might want to offer bookkeeping and other services compatible with with your membership. I would hope that the accountant you are working with, would guide you if you were stuck, as would I, and again, there are many recommendations on here regarding bookkeeping software.
